Air conditioner control buttons not responding intermittantly
Hi folks
I've got one of the new style dash surfs (4-runners) with the rotary style air controls run by a computer, and am having problems with it not responding to button presses intermittantly. I thought it was a loose connection in the connectors behind it but rebending every single contact(!) behind there hasn't seemed to have sorted the issue. Anyone come across this?
I've pulled the whole computer apart to check soldering etc and it all looks in excellent condition. The outside temp button and the rotary temp and fan controls themselves always work, but it's the "auto, defrost, AC, mode, recirc" etc buttons that don't respond.
Forgot to mention that I'm down under!! Not an Aussie...

Well, it helps with the searches to know that you chaps call it "climate control"! Obvious really...
After a lot of searching I have full diagnostics and codes for it, but that isn't helping as the problem appears to be between the button fascia and the AC amplifier itself.
Code 21 is the solar sensor by the way and will always show up unless you're (not "your"!) in direct sun.
