Air Bag Dash Light - need Advice
Okay, so my airbag light has been on for awhile, the light indicates that something is wrong with a component from the sensors in the front of the vehicle all the way back to the bags itself...The Dealer wants $80 just to look at it, so i did some digging around and noticed my sensor (under the battery) had some battery acid on it, and is rusty and corroded. So I'm guessing that its bad.
My question is, if I replace the sensor, and the sensor is in fact the problem, will the dash light automaticaly turn off, or do you have to reset the system???
Any opinions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Trevor

When it comes to airbags, unfortunatley your probably best to let the pros handle it. The fact that they can go off if you start messing with the sensors would be enough for me. Couple hundred bucks vs. buying a new airbag. Then theres the safty factor of knowing that the airbag will work properly. Just depends on your situation I guess. I wouldn't take the chance.
