ADD-A-LEAFS Installed
Finally got around to having the time to install my Add-A-Leafs! Didn't take that long.....and I am very happy with the results.
COST: $35 Shipped to my door from Summit Racing. ProComp Add-A-Leafs
TIME: 4hrs
Here is a pic..... NO MORE SAGGY A**!
The only thing, since I did not replace the entire spring assembly, the right side sits almost a 1/2" lower in the rear. Took me awhile.... ....THe GAS TANK.....When full....the old springs really show themselves.
BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK THOUGH! Untrained eye cant tell!

That's perfect. Exactly what I'm looking for. And except for your wheels our truck are identical, down to the roof rack. And my rust. Did you install these alone? I have been on the edge of gettinng the EXP-13120 for a while, though I would prefer something a bit longer to keep the ends fromm folding. How much of the originnal springs sticks out on either side?

Yes I installed them alone.
The new springs are around 20-21" long. I am not sure how much the factory springs stick out....HURRINCANE WINDS keep me inside tonight! They are located on top of the factory helper spring, or bottom spring. I have not noticed the ends folding....although I see your point. The kit is supplied with new centering bolts. After the u-bolts were reinstalled, I was able to get about two threads showing through the bolts. Enough to hold....but I was suprised how short they really were. I may swap out for longer u-bolts. I dont think safety is an issue...but just peace of mind.
The ride is very marginally stiffer. Lets put it this way....I was hitting the bump stops on some rough highways....now I dont.....I'd say ride is VERY GOOD.

I've had the exact same set on for close to three years with out a single problem. My u-bolts were also a tad too short but I felt there was not a safety issue. I even put a set on my neighbors Runner. Enjoy!! Nice Runner .

Another question...
I just put my bils in today, and it does not appear my u-bolts have enough thread to take another leaf, maybe 1/4 in. before they taper at the ends. Did you replace a leaf or add it?

Sorry for the delay.....Lost power and headed out on vacation early. Came back to the same crappy Hurrincane weather.
No real tricks to mention. I just followed the instructions.
Awesome.....post some pics when you get yours installed!
