ABS computer swap

Has anyone ever tried to swap out abs computer modules to convert your ABS braking unit to a traction lock unit. I have a 97 4runner 4x4 with open diff and wanted to know if anyone has done this before.

Thanks

are you wanting to run an elocker or just traction control?

I am wanting to run traction control. I have open diff's at either end and was considering going to an e-locker or a torsen limited slip in the rear end versus trying to find a ABS module that is programed for limited slip. Any thoughts?

Locked is always better than open diffs, so that would be my plan.

by the way, nice truck and build up. How do you like the maxxis bighorns? Also, did you have any problems going up to the 255-85-r16?

With the effort you would to gain what you would get with traction control, I would go ahead and just go straight to an elocker or arb.

I'll be selling my arb, most likely next week, if your interested pm me.

I really like them, and will most likely go with them when they wear out (same size too). They aren't that noisey on the highway, stereo easily drowns out the noise. They are very good in the rain for a mud terrain, due to the siping.

I just had to pound the pinch weld and trim the old rear bumper to make the bighorns fit when i flexed them. They bulge nicely when you lower the psi to around 15ish psi.
