99' Tacoma for towing?

Does anybody know if a V6 4X4 99 Tacoma is capable of pulling a trailer with tools?
I'm guesstimating the trailer at 3000lbs fully loaded.

The truck has about 75-80,000 miles on it, 5 speed standard.
It also has a 3" suspension lift.

Thanks in advance.

i would have no problem saying it wouldnt be able to

The 5 speed helps the fact, seeing as how you can shift when you need and stay in the powerband

yes it will tow it. Make sure you have the proper connections for trailer brakes though. If i remember the V6 ext. cab model is like 3800lbs, fairly sure its legal to tow that weight trailer, i know I've towed way heavier than that with my truck but it certainly wasn't legal...
