96Red, Its actually howing a bit of surface rust, but I keep welding more and hitting it with the flapper wheel so its not a big deal..

Updates

Here's the deal..

Last week I realized my first problem, One side of the tailgate wouldnt shut.
Couple days later I realized my second problem, the very rear part wasnt exactly square..

In this picture you can actually see how its not shut all the way..

So I got to some more measuring and realized its 13/16ths " shorter then the other side..

The other day I put in a little spacer peice at the bed rails and called it good till I had more time.
Meet Gappy :

On to Today

Gappy's long lost cousin Filler.

Done for the day.

This is what happens when you pack your cigarettes too much and your too busy grinding welds clean to stop and ash your cig..

I was waiting for that to happen..

Last week was the last time I've touched it, been way to busy with work and having fun at a friends house while her parents are away. Not to mention I'm 30 miles away from my welder and tools.
I have the whole weekend off this weekend, so Friday I'm gonna head home and grab everything I need and come back down here. Sat morning I'll be up bright and early busting ass on this thing, hoping to get the bondo done sat. evening then wheel Sunday.

So long story short, you'll have your updates this weekend

Stay tuned folks
