99 runner fenderflare

Ok so I'm trying to decide which fender flares to get. I haven't found a set of limited ones for what I consider a good price for used ones. anyway i am thinking of getting some bushwacker ones and I like the look, my problem is that on their website they show 3 different ones for the runner, one has 1 1/2" inch and the next says it has 1 1/4" but it looks like more? anyone know which ones actually are bigger?

The middle flare package is for the Limited look including cladding and stuff to match the running boards.

The last package is similar to the OEM Limited flares but not quite as wide. I had the bottom package on my '97 and they did look nice and the install and fit was pretty close to factory and you have two options of front pieces that either taper mid bumper or extend all the way to the bottom of the valence.

My vote would be for either the OE style or the last kit. Either would look good but the last kit would give you better coverage of course.

I'm not sure about the difference between them, but it looks like one's for the limited with cladding and stuff, as previously mentioned.

I can tell you bushwacker makes a great product; I tipped my taco on the side, and there was virtually no body damage because the fender flares held the truck up off the rocks and whatnot. What happened to the flares? There was a crack at one of the screws on each flare on that side. Just a crack, and most of the weight of the vehicle was on them. You wouldn't even be able to notice it unless you look real close, its like a hairline fracture.

Much tougher than I expected. They keep the mud off really well too. Before my flares, I'd have an inch of mud on the roof of my truck. After, I can't even get any mud on the hood and only a little on the sides where the flares allow mud flying below a certain angle to get on the truck.

If you want to be able to still get some mud on your rig, get the smaller flares. hah

So which ones do you have and how much PM me I really want to get some.

So the 3rd ones on the page i posted are bigger then? I want the most coverage and I dont care about options for the "Other parts" as I'm replacing the bumpers in the next month.

Finally got some pics of the flares. Pics are just with a phone and done at dusk so they are kind of dark. Sorry

thanks jschmitt for the photos- I picked up my Basslink through ebay just the other day so I will be shopping Bushwhackers next. Those ones pictured look just right. Nicely done.

Was the install difficult? Does Bushwhacker pre-drill out the locations for mounting?

As for the part number, I went with the Set Part # 31913-11 on the red 4Runner on the Bushwacker website. You can choose to have them painted but I like the flat black look.
The install wasn't bad until I understood the instructions. I was in such a hurry to get them installed, I was kind of skimming the instructions as I went. Bushwasker doesn't pre-drill the holes but there are indentions on the inner lip of each part showing you where to drill.
I installed them mainly to cover up the tires that stuck out a little too much for my liking. They will also keep the side of the rig a little cleaner if that's a good thing. I'll cross the fingers and hope I don't rip off a flare any time soon cuz they weren't too cheap. As for price, I found the best price at spotztrailers.com.
