Arrow 99 Runner -- Can the front seats be switched?

I have the leather interior in my truck. It has held up very well... 160k miles. Everything looks like new, except for the driver seat. The driver seat (bottom) is getting worn (especially the cushion). Would the driver seat bottom be interchangeable with the passenger side?

What do you think? Has anyone done it?

I would think that if you had power seats, the controls for the seat would be on the wrong side and you wouldn't be able to reach them...now that i think of it, it may also apply for non-power seats too, as for the adjustment lever for the top of the seat

Im subscribing to this thread.
the things that would cause any problems are if the mechanicals of the various seat features (raise, lower, etc..) are connected to the seat pad/cushion itself.. This is a good idea though, especially since the side that is worn for the driver is the side that is not worn for the passenger..

I'm talking about taking apart a passenger seat... removing the seat bottom section... keeping the driver side seat frame etc... just swaping the bottom seat cushion part.

They look the same... but I don't know...

but instead of that why not see if you can get a pass side seat at a junkyard?

That's exactly what I plan to do... All the driver side seats are worn by 100k miles or so. Just have to find one...
