99 4runner fog light wiring

I am trying to install fog lights on my 99 using the factory wiring. I've seen the PDF upload of the wiring instructions, but there seems to be a difference in years.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/1...ctions-119070/

This shows I should tap into the B/R and G/B wires under the steering wheel (pins 10, 11) However my the wire I have on pin 11 is W/B. I went through anyway and the fogs don't work. On top of it all my dash lights went out and the dimmer switch won't function, along with my corner parking lights.

Can anyone help here? I've searched and searched and no clear answer has come up. I need to know which wires to tap into for my fog light switch.

Thanks.

First question I have were there stock foglights on this truck??
Usually when you install such accessories you use a relay to a switch and power off either a hot in run wire or the battery as well there are terminals in the fuse box in the engine compartment that are hot in run.

look here for your fsm and you will be able to go through the wiring diagram to see what color wire you are looking for.

THANKS!

From the FSM I figured the G/B wire on pin 10 is only on vehicles with DRLs, otherwise, pin 10 is W/B. Fogs are running, and thanks again for the FSM links!

And I somehow unplugged the "Tail" relay which caused my dash lights, corner parking lights, and license plate lights to go out. Plugged it back in and all is well.

Anthony.
