97 4Runner 3.4L muffler question
Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here. Does anyone know how I can cheaply buy an aftermarket muffler that would install like the old one? I know that some shops will intsall customer bought mufflers, but I'm not sure if they can bend the pipe cheaply for me. I've been getting quotes around here from $350-700 (shop bought and installed), which is ridiculous. I'm looking at buying a Magnaflow ($50) but of course it does not come with the bent pipe on the muffler outlet. So, can I purchase this pipe somewhere or have a shop bend one? Or can the old stock one be cut off? Any suggestion are greatly appreciated, thanks very much.

You may look here--I bought an oem exhaust set for my '91-- seemed fairly priced at the time, and works great today. My wife's is a '97, so I'll keep an eye out for what you find

Thanks for your help everybody, I just bought the 18" Magnaflow online for about 50 bucks, and finally found a local shop that would install it for another $50. So, that's not a bad price compared to the direct fit mufflers I've been quoted on. I'll let you guys know how it sounds, thanks!
