I'm trying to remember what I did to the grey wire on my Taco. It's been over 4.5 years.

I think you just cut the wire and then ground it...but don't quote me on that. I don't want to be responsible for an

For the life of me, I can't figure out why Downey would state that having an electric actuator in the front would be a bad thing, especially in light of the factory lockers in the rear having an electric actuator.

Anyone wanna comment on that?

If you read the caption on downey it explains it fairly well.

It is susceptible to damage from rocks when wheeling and breaks fairly easily. The electrical components dont like water, dirt and any force applied to them. The cable locker is "stronger" and less prone to failure. But many people who have actually tried to cable locker will tell you that they suck because the cable is not a close system. Dirt and water in the cable make it very difficult to shift. And the cable can limit articulation.

I guess that's the point I was making. The cable system is just as limited.

Seal your electronics, and get a motor shield for the actuator. Problem *relatively* solved.

You just cut a wire and ground it, not too much else to it.

Just make sure you cut the right wire.
