4x4 auto transmission is toast?

Hello, its me again. 354,000 miles and tranny no go.
I added dextron trans fluid yesterday because it was low. And today it was slow to go into gear and before I can leave my neighborhood it wouldn't drive at all I had to drive in reverse all the way back to my house only about four blocks luckily. Is a transmission install easy?
What else should i replace besides tranny? I found one for 300 bucks any one care to help along the way?

If you have to ask if it's easy or not, find a friend that has pulled/installed a trans or take it to a shop.
