4WD Indicator Blinking for no reason
I saw the other thread on 4WD not engaging or disengaging but I think this is a different issue.
A couple times in the past week, my 1999 LTD 4Runner's 4WD indicator started blinking and stopped all by itself after several seconds. I checked the multimode button wasn't pressed and it was in 2WD on the lever. It was. This happened just driving around town and at speed.
It never seemed to attempt to engage 4WD.
I have never seen this before. I don't use 4WD very often but used it before this happened due to rain a couple weeks ago.
I just engaged and disengaged both the multimode and the 4-HI with locked center diff a few times and everything seems to be fine.
Any ideas about what would cause the indicator to spontaneously blink?
Thanks.

After replacing two sensors on the t-case this happened to me one day on the highway. I just removed the 4WD fuse & drove it around for a week, threw it back in & no problems ever since.
If I had to take a shot in the dark, maybe a loose connection with one of the sensors.
