4wd diff on 2wd?
2000 Prerunner Standard Cab 2.7 2WD
Can I use a complete rear end from a 2000 Tacoma 4WD on my 2000 Prerunner 2WD? Does gearing matter? How can I tell what gearing I have? Are they different as far as size or brakes? I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Maybe to all questions. Except how to tell gearing, for which there's an axle code.
It depends on ABS or not. Electronic locking diff or not. And if gearing matters...to you...which it might.
