4wd dash light not working

So i searched and couldn't find anything, everything I found was about all dash lights not working. Well, all other dash lights seem to be working fine, just not the 4x4 one.

My 4wd is working but the dashlight no longer comes on when engaged. It use to but not as of lately, any ideas? Is it just a burnt out bulb in dash or some sort of relay, comp issue or something...??? TIA

What year are you? (Putting your info in your sig helps immensely to get the right feedback). I assume it's not an '84! If so, you are in the wrong place.

Assuming NOT '01-'02 (electric front diff actuator), three possibilities:
1. Bulb
2. Sending switch on front diff.
3. wiring in between.

No relay or computer involved if 4wd is indeed working. #2 is most likely.

UPDATE: So even though it seemed my 4wd was engaging both axles and just not turning on the dash light, it wasn't. It was only enagaging the rear. I read about the vacuum lines and figured id check them out since its easy, one of the vacuum lines was pulled off, BAM, piece of cake!

I thought my 4wd WAS engaging. my bad, mahalos.
