4Runner rear deflector

I was wondering if the screws are tapped to mount the rear spoiler on a
4Runner? I have one on mine, but my dad does not. Just wondering how easy it would be to bolt one on. I know I could just use sheetmetal screws or something similar, but if it is tapped I would prefer to do it right.

The kit from Toyota comes with some threaded inserts to install the brackets. Forget what they're called, but they're a pain in the dick to put in and easy to screw up if you don't use the correct tool, which you can make yourself.

yes they are tapped into the body with the inserts used. The template is most helpful to have I think I still have it.

Irbis Off Road did mine (Aurora) and to me it was well worth it to not damage my body...

there are some aftermarket alternatives but I am not recommending them-most are of the stick on variety.
