4runner purchase decision, need advice!
greetings!
I'm SERIOUSLY considering a '98 sr5 -it's black w/ blue and fauxwood interior, 99k on it, pretty much every option available (minus keyless) LSD on the rear...the owner is supposed to provide me with all records this eve...lets see, new goodyears, brakes, timing belt/h2o pump, new kenwood cd head in it that sounds SOLID, stock speaks....all the underneath looked good to my shade tree eyes - no real rust or crap, staight body, few dings..nothing to mention. It looks as if it's been WELL kept and religiously maintained. ANY idea on what else to TRIPLE check?
ANY advice would be great, btw, the price is 11.5k
cheers,
aaron

Aaron,
As a point of reference, I bought a 98 SR5 for $14,500 w/ only 54k on it. Yours seems a little high mileage for the price.
Also, do a carfax check and have your local trusted mechanic take a look at it.

I would most definetly negociate the price. Also don't forget to check for overspray and mismatched panels (some "newer" looking than others), in case it had been in an accident that was not hard enough to get on carfax.
