I would like to put the hood, fenders, grille and headlights from a 4runner onto a Tacoma. I am thinking of models around 2000 to 2002. It looks like the contours in the doors on both vehicles are the same, So I'm imagining that this stuff could line up. I'm also thinking about the radiator core support. In order for this job to be a bolt on, the core supports would have to be the same. Or it could require grafting a 4runner core support onto a Tacoma, which, if it's like older Toyota trucks, is a welded part. Anybody know about this?

 

But, someone here or on T4R org had a 4 runner with a Taco front clip so I suspect the reverse can be done.

The only thing I wonder about is the firewall - looking at my uncles '02 Taco I can see the back of the engine way more clearly than on our runner.

I think they are different.

At any rate a little searching may turn up some info.
