wow, thats one screwed up 4runner you got now... so sorry mant, i cant even imagine....

however, looking at those pics, i feel real good about driving my 4runner. if you were hit that hard, rolled, broke axles, etc, and were able to WALK away, i feel mighty safe driving mine now.

edit, and andrew, thanks for scaring the children...

Man, that sucks major. Glad to hear you are ok.

The same thing almost happened to me the other day, Except it was a Honda Ridgeline, not a f-250.

The ford actually looks like it took a beating compared to the yota.

Couple of Weeks ago, My girlfriend and I hit black ice and went on one hell of a 100 yd ride. We were both able to climb out of it okay.

wow that sucks!! glad you're ok however and that's the important thing.

Oh if you do decide to part the truck out, i would be interested in the WHOLE roof rack package if it isn't tweaked.

RumRunner - dang that sucks. However, it looks like it held up really well as far as the cab protection goes and like you said, you were able to walk away so it should be reassuring when you find your new runner.

FUZION - Holy Crap! That was an extremely clean looking runner you had! How did that happen?

I am going to buy it back and sell it to a friends automotive recycling yard. I think he mainly wants the engine and tranny, plus most of the glass is still good.

The roof rack is broken and tweaked. The interior is still extremely clean.

I hit some black ice, and things just got worse from there. The crazy thing is that about an 1 hour after it happened, we were driving away when someone lost it in the exact same place!

I feel your pain too

We should make a "4Runner RIP" thread for all the rollovers lately. This was mine:

I would get what aftermarket parts you want and can off them before the go to salvage auction because most insurance companies don't pay for all you have done to them and you lose that money!

You could get uberhahn's 4Runner. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f180/1999-4runner-trd-5-speed-e-locker-105690/

That way it could stay in the Yotatech family.

Just another fine example of tough the 4Runner's are. That F250 is one heavy truck! Glad you're all right, hopefully his insurance company is more than accommodating. Demand a rental (SUV equivalent) until your vehicle is replaced.
