4Runner + F250 = bad things

Well apparently stop signs look different in Brooklyn Park from the ones in Millersville. Some dumbass ran a stop sign and caught me broadside today on my way to work.

I was hit on the passenger side and slammed into a curb which snapped the rear axle shaft and sent me into a roll. I made 1 complete rollover before before resting against a tree. I am sore as hell and really pissed becuase it took so long to find a 4runner with stick.

I am ok and the other driver was fine too.

MORE IMAGES

My lift components were coming together nicely, but now I am not sure how easily I will be able to another 4Runner with stick and one PO. crappy day!

Wow, thats rough...good to see that you're ok though!

And poor 4runner...barely got a chance to live...hate to see them go so young.

Sorry for your loss, could have been much worse.

I can kinda relate to you. A few years back my mom was driving her civic coupe when she met a f-250 head on. Impact was so hard that the roof buckled at the sunroof. The paramedics told my mom she should not have survived. Glad to hear you're ok. I know that it could be much worse.

That sucks man!

How fast was the guy goin anyway. he threw you a good distance...

You will find another one I am sure.

You just got to be patient.
I wasn't, and if I had been, i could have been riding around in exactly the 4Runner I want.
But hey a Runner is a Runner, I get in mine and no if i was broadside like you where, that I would walk away from it.

I am really sorry to hear that dude. I have seen way too many 4runners destroyed lately. Sounds like the Ford driver got you pretty good. At least your ok.

Maybe you can make some money off it though. I know i am in need of some used parts. I would part it out unless you can make an insurance claim on it.

Fuzion,

Wow that looks like it was pretty bad.

All,
Thanks for the well wishes. The inside was like a crzy zipper at the carnival with sunglasses, binoculors, and other things floating by in slow motion.

I imagine he was going 25 - 35 and I was going 35 - 40. He totally blew through the stop sign. I braced for impact but there is really no way to prepare for that.

The 4runner looks to be in better shape than that FORD. That's good =) Glad you are fine, looks like one hell of a nasty hit.

I was hit 3 yrs ago. almost a full T-bone by a old lady in a white minivan.

The van was a mangled crumpled mess. The Jeep was totalled but overall damage wasnt nearly as bad as the pop can the lady hit me with.

Lesson learned for both of us drivers. She learned not to speed up to run a late yellow light and I learned not to take for granted people stop at red lights. =) Always take a second look!!!!!!! could be your life.
