4runner 18" trd wheels

Does anybody have the 18" TRD wheels for the '03/'04 4runner? (or pictures too) I just bought the Borla dual exhaust for my '03 sport, and was wondering if I should upgrade my wheels too..........

Is the Borla the same as the TRD? How do you like the borla? You thinking about putting on headers?

Borla exhaust and K&N

yes---the TRD exhaust is the Borla exhaust---it just has TRD laser etched in the tips. I ordered it and got it in less than a week--but have to wait till tuesday to have it installed-but man does it look sweet just sittin' in the box....
I think I'm just gonna stay with the exhaust--and maybe the K&N FIPK---I was wondering if anyone has dynoed their truck with those mods....I talked to Borla yesterday and they said the earlier 4runners (90's) lost power with the K&N.........
....and still trying to get feedback about the trd wheels...

Do they have the correct back spacing for pre-2003 Gen 3's?

unless you really want the center caps that say "TRD" you could probably find comparable bbs rims for cheaper from tirerack.com or somewhere.

Save a couple dimes and stay away from the "TRD" wheels. As already said, they are BBS wheels. They used to not even have the TRD center caps. You can probably get those later no matter what wheels you go with. BBSs aren't cheap to begin with, I wouldn't want to imagine what TRD is selling them for . IMHO getting wheels is a way to set your truck apart from all the others. Why not get something more original and probably cheaper... BBS wheels are really nice wheels, but you pay for it boy do you pay for it. Though there aren't TOO many on road truck wheels that aren't bling and look good. Good luck, I actually like the wheels you got on it right now. I thought about looking into some, but went the rock crawler wroute first because i got a deal on them. Later I will an alloy set for day to day driving and the tech1s will be for off-road use b/c that extra rotational weight is killing my mileage.

Nope, but I do have 18" Enkei wheels with Kumho tires, and I can recommend those!

Can't comment on the wheels issue but agree 100% with the K&N FIPK...check Gadgets site for details.

As for Cat backs, Magnaflow have data that says their system nets 9 hp and 12 lbft of torque AT THE WHEELS.

I will probably stick with an upgraded filter in the factory airbox for now. I feel sure someone will come up with PC programmeable ECU mods eventually so I will wait for that.

I will post pics of the Cat back when I get it but doubt I can be bothered to dyno it PLUS, as its AWD, its kinda tough to dyno it without the right dyno.!!!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm kinda torn because I like the stock wheels too. I get my exhaust done Tues...I'll add some pics and TRY to add an audio clip for it. As for the K&N ---since they only have the aircharger now (and apparently it may not pass emissions), should I assume they will eventually come out with the FIPK for the 4runner??
