4 Wheel not working after engine swap

I swapped the motor on my 91 3.0 and test drove it some today. The 4 wheel drive is not comming on. I found a electrical connection that was not not connected that came from the front diff. and I can't find where it goes. The 4 wheel indicator light is not comming on either.

Is that for the auto locking hubs? Where does it go to? Is it possible that it connectcted to my old engine wiring harness?

Thanks for your help

Steve

The electrical connector at the front diff is just for the light. It is feedback for you that the 4wd is engaged. When it is unplugged then the 4wd can be engaged, but the light won't come on. The front diff is controlled by two vaccuum lines which turn the add on and off. If you reverse the vaccuum lines it wont work either.

ADD is Attention Defecite Disorder. Hehehe......just messing with ya. It stands for Automatic Differential Disconnect. I could go into detail about how it works, but I gotta go take my yoter for a snow cruise. Hehehe. Basically, it automatically puts ya in 4 wheel when you shift the T-Case. Later.........

Yeah I must have ADD. Probably both types! When I move the lever to 4 hi or low it automatically goes in. I checked the vac lines and the two that go to the hubs look correct. Color coded red and blue right? I'm not sure if the line that applies the vacuum to the canister is right. Is it the line that comes off the manifold and has a T on it? I guess I'll check the voltage on the actuators next. Is voltage applied to the actuators the entire time its in 4 wheel or does it toggle? Thanks
