4.7L and a procharger...

Well guys, we've been doing a ton of research the last couple of weeks after I mentioned a thread about a TRD blower and nitrous. Found a much better (though not warrantied) situation. Procharger will send me their blower for $2,000. Intercooler is $675. Right away that kills the TRD price of 4 grand.

Here's the story. I have emailed eric who posted his procharged 3.4L about a week ago. Here is a brief list of what we are adding and changing, etc...the transfer case is the main concern with the full time 4wd...

Procharger Blower
Intercooler
Underdrive and Overdrive replacement pulleys
A second fuel pump
custom burnt chip
EFI tuning
Supra MAF??? help me here...
ECU/PCM reprogramming
Injection of damn cold air/vapor into the intercooler/intake (i cant remember the exact terminology at the moment, bare with me)
Air/Fuel, Fuel Pressure, and Boost Gauges from Autometer
Need to find an a pillar w/ 3 pods
Blow off valve
New rods
Shift kit
and many many other things i'm forgetting...

We plan to start the boost around 7 psi and slowly crank it from there...procharger claims it can go to 20 psi, but i dont think the block would go with it...probably 10-12 psi is the most accurate. Any and all feedback of anything i am missing or applying incorrectly would be greatly appreciated. This is one i really need help on. Thanks far in advance.

How are you going to accomplish:

Custom burnt chip
EFI Tuning
ECU/PCM reprogramming

Just wondering if you know something I do not.

Forgot to mention that the intercooler is a Spearco...and in response to your questions, Gadget, I couldn't tell ya how that is going to be accomplished, but I have a friend that does...he's the brains behind the operation...i'm just the idiot wasting the money.

Any help and input from you would be awesome as well, we're thinking 12-13 psi will be the max now.

Thanks.

Ok.

The ECUs used on these Toyota trucks can not be reprogrammed or the chips replaced. Not even Toyota can do that.

You have two options, first is to replace the stock engine control system with a stand alone aftermarket one, like the one from Simple Digital Systems, or use a linear or piggy back controller like I do with my supercharger performance upgrade kit.

Our kit should be adaptable to the 4.7 without any problems. Anyway you can get more info on that as soon as our site goes live today at www.URDUSA.com or my personal site.

um....why do you want to include a supra MAF? Arent you talking about the 4.7L engine? The AFM modules on the new engines are removable, so that u could put it in any size or shape tube you wanted---the supra MAF really isnt the answer to all the problems on the newer trucks, only the older ones.
