3rd gen e-locker wont engage.

3rd gen e-locker wont engage.
I was told if you submerge them they short out. I think this is what happened to mine.. is there any suggestions on what I should do? I heard Downey offers a cable pully kit that works with it so you can bypass the electrical.

I would start by taking the motor off and leaving it hooked to the wiring harness - flip the diff lock switch - if the motor turns - it's not electrical. Also, with the motor out - stick a screwdriver into the hole in the diff and manually slide the little gear over to the left into the lock position - if you can do that - and it locks in then you know it's the motor.

I would fix the locker rather than go for some mechincal bandaid but that's just me.
