3rd gen 4runner suspension questions
I have a 97 4runner SR5 5speed with 3" Revtek suspension spacers, now i need some new shocks maybe springs too. I was looking at sonoran steel 7.2 lift kit but that would put me at like 5" of lift which i want to keep it below 4" I think. I use my runner as my daily driver and go muding quite a bit. What would be the best shock/spring setup for me? Are there any springs that are the same lenght as stock but stiffer or maybe i should go with like 1" longer shocks I'm just not sure. If anyone out there could help me out that would be great. post picture too that would be awsome, I love to see what other people have done to their 3rd gen's.

This has been covered alot--but really what you want is to stay as low as possible with but still run the same size tire. Like that article "Trails less traveled". SS 7.2 is a great lift and Steve is a good guy--his stuff works and is not half as$ed. i would drop the Revtek and get the 7.2--
PS--what size tires you running?

the search button is really useful for stuff like this. 3" should be enough to clear 285/75, some have to trim and some dont. the spacer lift should go if you want better perfomance out of your rig. SS or OME would be the most common and you can't go wrong either way
