350 Small Block in a 3rd gen

I was talkin with a few friends at lunch today about putting a 350 small block in my 3rd gen. I've heard of a few people on the forums that have done it and I'm curious, how much did it end up costing total? I know the engine alone wouldnt be that bad, but I'm sure theres all sorts of other things that need to be bought as well. I drive a 96 4runner sr5 4x4 automatic v6. And if a new tranny is required I'd like to convert over to a manual, so add that into the price.

Thanks guys

where have you heard that it was done before? i wouldn't mind reading about that....

i'd just get the SC if you want more power, it'll be cheaper too.

As far as I know, the only people with 350's have them in 2nd or 1st gens. Never seen a different engine in a 3rd gen. Why not just supercharge it?

Ah, so maybe its only in a 1st and 2nd... my bad guys. How much would getting a super charger and everything else I would need typically run? How much power did yall gain from yours?

I think you can get a kit from URD for ~2500, but I could be wrong. I think that kit has the TRD blower, then the URD fuel, etc, mods to make everything run right and give more power.

It is just shy of $2200 for the entire kit.
