Ok so I'm going to get them (BFG 32x11.5 R15). Now my only question is Backspacing on my new wheels (probably tech1 rockcrawler series 97s) Which offer 3.75 or 4.5 BS on the size I need. I would think that since I don't get any rubbing on the swaybar now with 4.5 in. of BS, then i wouldn't with slightly larger tire? Of course I think I have 4.5 BS on the stock allows, might be 4.25...

well if you ever get a suspension lift you have to use a wheel with less than 4 in. of backspacing i think. that's why you can't uses stock wheels with ifs lifts for toyotas b/c the tire will his the a-arm.

Thumbs up

Right on b/c I really dig the Tech1 Rockcrawler Series 91 (D-window) wheels, which in the 6 on 5.5 only come with 3.5 inches of backspacing. I think i'm sold (now all I have to do is find some money

I'm looking at doin the same thing--approximately how many inches would the tires (32s) stick out from the fenders with the 3.5 backspacing?

Thumbs up Update: new wheels and tires on

I got my tires put on today . Only a little rub backing up to the right so far in ps front (pinch weld?).

I've got Center caps for the back and black lugs around on order from wheelersoffroad.com. Has anyone tired their topless black caps over Aisin hubs?

Also judging by the pic below, what's the call on the necessity of fender flares...they stick out sooo little I don't want to have to put big flares on. Has anyone tried putting the limited flares on from this year ('95) or possibly another brand? I think I just need about 1/4 - 1/2 of more coverage. Recommendations. Also anyone in PA know if having tires stick out is an offense you can be pulled over for, or just a secondary (meaning you have to be pulled over for another reason)?

Here are some pictures>

How much they stick out>

Wow that looks great!

So you decided on the 32x11.5x15 on 15x8 wheels with how much backspacing? 3.75"? That looks really good and I might do something similar myself. The only lift you have is the spring lift in the rear correct?

Correct 3.75 backspacing, performance products 1" progressive lift springs in back. They rub a little at full turn in front. I took a closer look this evening and it appears they're only rubbing the plastic well liner where the running board caps used to attach. I think cutting it up a little will fix it right up. Very very pleased

Now I just need to do some research on the need and options for a little larger fender flares.

Lookin Good Marshall! Ok so what are your thoughts regarding the performance loss, if any, that you've noticed?

Negligible. I did the ISR mod about a month ago so I had time to get used to the increased in HP, however it really hasn't cut any noticble power. According to the chart on 4wheelproducts's site, the RPM loss is only about 100 at 65 mph in 4th gear. (Link here, click 'Gear Ratio Guide')

I haven't had it on the highway yet, but I'd imagine that's where it might be most appearent.
