You will love the KM2's my friend - I had them on my '85 Runner and they rocked.

I don't think you're getting into anything that big, just need to be sure you're smart about it.
If you actually plan and think you'll be able to re-gear in the next year then I think you did the right thing.

If you can pull the thirds that will save you quite a bit of cash, just take them somewhere or ship them somewhere to have the actual gears put in.
Honestly, if you're going to go through all of that you might as well go ahead and plan on getting the lockers you want at the same time - that will save you a lot of dough down the road.

Just my $.02,

Fink

Yes well actually when I was about to order by 33s a Silverado came into my work with km2 35x12.5s and I said I have to have those haha, I thought it was a sign.

I might be able to afford the gears this year, I really just wasnt planning on it, but it sounds like I really should

Those are the same ones I had and they were awesome.
Easily balanced and wore very well.

If you plan on wheelin it do a power steering fluid cooler. And I would take that body lift off, if you do any wheelin, you going to hate how top heavy it will feel. TRUST ME...

I think you think doing gears cost more than they really do. I did mine for under 800 and took me a weekend. East Coast Gear Supply is the way to go.

I think a bigger problem for him is that he's in Canada so it won't be as easy for him to just send them somewhere to have it done as it is here in the states.

Yea cheapest price ive got so far is 500 per axel, thats no new bearings or sealings just a new ring and pinion. The body lift is still in the mail actually but I dont know if I wana hack up my daily driver too much without it

Okay, I guess I misunderstood you - you already have the 1.2 installed, just not the body lift right?

I was going to say you'd probably be already with 35's if you just did some smart trimming with no body lift but now that I see that, there's no way.

Do you ever plan on ditching the stock front bumper?

35's on 2.5" of lift, just be prepared to cut some of your fender out. Also check out the Trails Less Traveled website, they've got some good information on doing the same thing. There's even a template on the TLT website. WHile you're saving your money for the gears, watch the for sale sections of the forums like a hawk and you can probably find a good deal on gears and install kits. Craigslist and junkyards are good places to look as well.

Yes Ive only done the suspension so far no body. I do plan on getting both new bumpers eventually but gears are the priority right now. I guess I could do some trimming and probly be better off

the link above is what you got to do to clear 35's w/o body lift. I used that site as a guide. But ended up cutting even more than they said

how about instead of 35" tires that will have trouble fitting...grab a set of BADARSE 33's

like some IROK's! to the tune of a 33x13.50

(it's what i'm getting for my '92 runner this summer)
