3.4L S/C How Much Boost ya got

I went to the dyno today and did some tunning..All we could get out of it was 5.5 pounds of boost..I have the URD 7th injector kit and the 2.2 pulley..It seemed like the belt tensioner was not keeping the belt tight enough..

We got 215 HP and 259 Torque with 5.5# of boost..It seems to be running great though and no more ping..

Anyone else run into tensioner problems like this..The S/C and tensioner are only 5 months old..

Any comments..

Here is a crappy video from my cell phone of one of the Dyno runs..

Ive not heard of anyone having that problem. Do you have the dynamic tensioner? If so is it set so it tightens the belt enough under boost?

you can tighten the belt tension by adjusting the alternator. I put a 2.0 pulley on for one of our customers and adjusted the alt up since the smaller pulley has less belt tension than the larger stock pulley. Also make sure there is enough clearance between the belt and the oil dipstick. I had to modify his bracket too

I have done that and it is adjusted out all the way and the belt still seems to bounce around at WOT..Its like the tensioner lost some of its spring..

something isnt right then with either your tensioner or your belt. You shouldnt be slipping so much

215 at the wheels is considerably more than a 25 HP increase.
