Are you referring to the head gasket recall? If so, call the dealer (better yet, call 2 different ones) and have them run your VIN# to see if the recall has been done on your rig or not.

I bought my 92 in 1994 and other than a/c problems a few years ago, it has been rock solid. I had the head gasket replaced in 1996. If you have work done by a dealer, make sure it is a good one.

I will do as followed.
Now, let's just say that NO it's hasn't been done but my truck is not leaking at all, should I still replace them, or what should I do in this instance?

they recall for a reason
I say better get it done and then you need'nt worry. the thing could let go on you when your on a trip somewhere and that could leave you high and dry or worse out a load of bucks...get it done check the mileage on your truck too its probably due for a timing belt which has to be done on time or else you are really living on borrowed time so to speak...if its due or about due get them both done at the same time...cheers aviator

Thank you guys for the responses.
I will most definitely check that out.
The timing belt was done at 60K and I am now at 98K so that won't have to be replaced.
I will do the rest though.

I bought mine last year, I've since put 14k on it. It now has...285k. I drive it everyday, runs okay, needs a major tune and the bushings in the tranny stick (5spd) done so I can find the gears. I'm slowly working on getting it whipped back into shape, but I have no doubt this thing will break the 300k barrier and beyond. Currently I get 14-16mpg w/2" body lift, lock rite and 32s on some heavy-a wheels (Hellcats).
