Post 2nd/3rd/4th GEN 0-60, 1/4 mile, braking, etc. compilation

This research stemmed from a little race I had last night with a Hummer H2. It was one of those "let's see how I match up because there is no one around" races. He totally jumped me off the line and I did not launch well. So, once I got beside him in 1st gear - and I kid you not - he remained right next to me through all 3 of my 5 gears! I was literally 3 feet in front of him the whole time. To be honest, this was a humbling experience. My rig is not that fast and I guess launches are where us 5 speeds can get you Auto's. I am a bit disappointed that my all my mods did not contribute to me pulling away from him I looked up the H2's and they are about 10 seconds 0-60 and low 17's in the 1/4 mile. Oh well. I guess without the SC'r this thing will never be "quick."

Plus the altitude isn't helping those numbers.

I had not seen these numbers posted (must have been preoccupied with the holiday rush!). Of course, the 1995 numbers were of most interest to me, and confirmed what I already knew about my 3.0. But I thought it was interesting that there is no difference between 4WD and 2WD.

Thats sad about the 2nd gens when you look at all my engine mods and the money I have spent that I am still slower than what those specs say.

I hear you, but if it's speed you're after the 2nd gen isn't going to get it. But I believe it's a superb all around vehicle, and I'm not trading mine anytime soon!

Thanks for bumping this inadvertently; I am surprised that more people were not interested in these stats.
