285's on stock wheels? Is it safe?

Sounds like I'll be fine...if I notice rubbing I might get some wheel spacers later on down the road, but with the little amount off-roading I do now because of school I think I'll manage.
Thanks for all the info guys! Awesome!
I'll be ordering the tires this week, probably on Thursday. I think I'll go with 5 BFG M/T's from Sam's.
I'm pumped...the rig is in the body shop now gettin stripped down to nothin and then it'll be hittin the paint booth early next week.
I'm driving an '06 Nissan Altima SE..this thing is nice! I mean, it helps that its free but still, it's pretty dern nice!! Just thought I would throw out there...

It got keyed in the parking lot at the University I go to, insurance is paying for all of it except for removing all the dents and having the front and rear bumpers repainted.
I'm pretty pumped, also gonna have them put an extra coat of paint and clear on the bottom rocker panels to help protect against debris and stuff.

I must be missing something here, I went to mount up some 285 Desintation MTs today, and they would hardly hang on the wheel studs let alone mount up. I have the LTD 5 spoke wheels and I've noticed at least a few people on here running 285s on the same wheels and one that seems to run the Firestone MTs. What is going on here, it can't just be something their doing.

If you are jacking the vehicle from the frame or diff, that allows the suspension to fully droop before the tire is off the ground to remove it. Try jacking from underneath the lower a-arm. It is much better since you don't have to jack as far, you don't have to worry about the suspension, and you don't have to lift the rest of the vehicle as high.
Scott's got another thread running about what his trouble.
