Cool 265/75/16's and a lift/BL

I have 265/75/16's on my 4runner and for some reason I get a lot of rub on my front driver side tire, but not on my front passenger side tire...

I was wondering if this was normal, because the rub is driving me insane . It really gets you when your turning out of a driveway, or anything that lowers the suspension on that side, and it sounds like doomsday has come.

I was considering a 1" BL, because most lifts would just make my tires look tiny.

What do I need for my '98 to have a sucessful BL? The gap on the hitch looks like it would bug me too though...

Are there any inexpensive, not cheap/crappy, coils that would give me ~1"-1.5" over stock for ~$350 max? I feel that new coils would be nicer overall than a BL, but I don't know if costs would much outweigh any positives or negatives for either situation.

Thanks for the help!

you could go for ome 881's on the front and you could get away with the stock springs, but not the best thing.

Having a lift with 265/75/16 tires with a lift doesnt make them look tiny. I am going to be running 265/75/16 with 2-2.5" lift coming this summer. I think a runner looks better with a lift with 265/75/16.

I bet yours are rubbing on your mud flap, it has a little square part that sticks out, mine rub on those but i am dealing with it until i lift and cut my fenders.

On the bolt/where it holds the fender flare on the front drivers side.

I doubt it would rub very badly if I removed the screw... Now that I think about it I feel silly, I'll probably just pop out the screw and see how it does....

So OME 881 Front Coil Spring Set: 151.90/pr
an OME 890 Rear Coil Set: 151.90/pr

Be ~$320 after shipping... Is that all I'd need?

How about getting it installed?

i had that before i have now and i liked it. you will want longer shocks sooner or later. here some eye candy of what that would look like when i had that with 265's.

if I get the 881's and the 890's is that all I need?

Where would I take them to get them installed? (for as cheap as possible!)

Will it hurt my MPG at all?

You should be able to do the install yourself, rear is easy, but you will need to rent a spring compressor for the front or take the fronts to a mechanic and get them to assemble it.

I can use my stock shocks right?

Does anyone have any pics of a ~2" lift with 265/75's?

Iam also looking into this lift. I have the OEM 1999 coils on it from Sonoron steel. I was considering this lift as well. Yes you can use your stock tokikos or what ever you have tucked in there.

saweet.

This is going to be a lot cheaper than I thought.

Should I buy new front/rear springs? or use wabfabs rear springs and front spacers? wabfab would be a little cheaper, but not by a whole lot. It would also be easier to install since I wouldn't need a compressor.

My springs are in good condition, so should I just buy the wabfab rear springs and front spacers?

I'm not a huge wheeler, I just want something that looks good and is functional. I bet I'll keep my shocks for a while.

I would go for the springs, more functional. And i believe even with the spacer your still going to have to use a spring compressor. The spacer sits ontop of your old spring so you still have to take that whole assembly apart.

Your best bet would be springs front and rear.

about 150ish a pair is the going rate for these.

might try wheelers offroad (wheelersoffroad.com) and call them they might give you free shipping.

Or contact toytec lifts and tell them your with yotatech and they also might give ya a deal.
