22R won't idle...
Hey when I start my 22R up it won't idle, I have to get on the gas a little bit or it sputters out. I am gonna see if I can adjust the idle speed...I have no tach so I can't see what's going on, it's hard to tell by the sound of the RPMS, I'm just guessing it's idling too low...what else can I check while i'm at it? Letting it warm up doesn't help..

Well it doesn't really stall out...it doesn't run long enough to stall out, and if I hold the accelerator down even just a tiny, tiny bit it keeps running forever, like it's not getting enough gas at idle or something?

Turn up the idel so that it will keep running, then spay some carb
cleaner around the engine compartment" Hoses,Gaskets,Vacume Lines, and around the intake gaskets." and listen for the RPM's to rise up. If they do, where you sprayed the carb cleaner is where you Vacume leak is. If the RPM's don't change, then there is another problem. Give that a try. Good luck!

idle screw
the idle screw is on the back of the carb by the throttle cable. there are 2 screws back there the lower one close cable is for setting the fast idle and the other one higher up toward the front is for adjusting the idle. it's close to the 1st one. hope this helps you out.
