Yeah, it looks kind of domestic... it looks kind of Dodge-ish to me.
Woah... its huge, but that could be because of the wide angle lens used... so the front looks alot bigger. The headlights feel Dodge-ish to me. Dont know if I like it or not till I see it in person!

The beds are not ABS plastic. They are SMC (Sheet Molded Composite). This is the same thing the new F-150 rear 1/4 panels are made of and the entire new style Ford Thunderbird body. I know because I built the machines that cure the UV coatings, on the panels, for both co's. I still say the bed on the Dcab needs to be longer.

I kinda like the looks, but why so big? If it's almost as big as a tundra then whats the sense? I personally wouldn't buy it, just too big.

I think companies are trying to steer away from the compact truck. Dodge has done it, GMC/Chevy and now Toyota. Ford will probobly be doing the same thing in the next couple of years.

I personally like the idea that a midsize truck will be offered by Toyota because as of right now, the Tacoma has a smaller interior.

The Tundra is actually not a true full size truck, it is more of a midsized truck. When Toyota introduces the new redesigned Tundra in 1-2 years (??) it will be bigger and a truer full size truck then compared to the other ones on the market.

The Tacoma looks better than I originally thoughy , but it's HUGH. Probably near the size of the current acces cab Tundra. Like someone else said, this will need a V-8 to move it around. I just went out and looked at my 2000 Tacoma work truck for size comparison. The roof on mine is chin level to me (I'm 5'-11"). The new on appears to be 1' higher unless all those guys are short. The good thing is the ground clearance looks to be high also, unlike the 4th gen Runner.

I think thr 4th Gen Runner looks low is because they all come standard with running boards. If you took them off, you will see the difference. It does have decent clearence (say 9.5 inches) or something.

Does anyone know what frame the new Tacoma sits on? Is it a modified version of the 4th Gen 4Runner or?

Awesome. Basically the same frame as the Land Cruiser then. Now, I wonder if they are doing to offer the multi mode 4WD on the Tacoma like the 4th Gen 4Runner with the center differential?
