2003 Sunroof. Electronic sound?
When I'm cruising on the freeway with the sunroof open, there is a sound that it makes when I get off the freeway when I slow down, it almost sounds like a CD being changed.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Serge

Yeah, it's the motorized wind deflector adjusting to road speed. It changes position slightly above ~45mph, then again when you slow below that speed. It's supposed to reduce wind buffeting in the cabin. Caught me off guard at first, too.

The deflector extends at ~ 54-55mph and then contracts at ~ 30mph. I had the dealer look at it before learning that was indeed the cause. The owners manual makes no mention of an automated wind scoop and I thought it was a short until sure enough, every time at 54-55 it makes a electrical sound. Kinda like a cheap Porsche 911 whale tail.

Thanks Bob.
I heard it a couple of times before but thought it was the CD changing at the end of it.
I thought that's what it was, but when I looked up there I did not see anything. I was also driving at the time so I could not really inspect it.
Thanks again,
Serge
