2003 door lock programming
I know a lot of you are having the same problem as I, on how to program the door "auto locks". The manual seems to be wrong and of no help. If not, I'm going to be pretty embarrassed because I tried for an hour, in every conceivable way. No luck . Even had a stop watch in hand. Learned some new words in the process though! Has anyone found out how to do this without going to the dealership?

Right now, it is programmed "to lock" when you put it in any gear (other than PARK). And it "unlocks" when you put it in PARK. I would like for it to "not unlock" when you put it in Park. Also, would like for it "to lock" at 12 mph. Think you can help?

OK, I just went out, and I was able to program all of the options. The first time I attempted B, all the doors were locked, and it didn't work. While attempting to program it the first time, it unlocked all the doors. I tried a second time with all the doors unlocked and it worked perfect. So try it with all your doors unlocked
Here's what I did. I turned it to on, went immediately (but not in a very fast manner) to the lock and pressed Up on it to this count (One one-thousand..Two one-thousand, to the count of five). Be kind of slow at counting. Then let go and it should program. If that doesn't work, I'll try to be more elaborate in my explanation.

2003 Unlock All Doors
Like others in the forum I have had trouble with my 2003 SR5 keyless programming. I originally thought I had the RS3200 keyless entry but when I tried to change the programming to get all the doors to unlock when put in park it would never accept the programming. Used the old door open, key in/out twice, open door close door twice, key in/out once, open door close door twice ... Tried 100 times, question, is the OEM keyless entry different than the RS3200 I see pictures of with the LED over the lock button? How do I program this thing? Help!

I'm not sure what you are talking about with an LED on the lock button. I have a bump on mine that could appear to be an LED, but isn't.
Post your exact instructions from your user manual. Maybe their is a second printing out and the error has been fixed?!
I can't understand why everyone is having so many problems, and I can get it to reprogram practically every time I try.

Thanks Kronicx- Went out and tried it by your instructions and it worked! Haven't driven it yet to verify the "locking at 12 mph". But at least its not unlocking in park. That was the part in which the spouse didn't like. Thanks a million.

What is it?
There seem to be two different keyless remotes for the 2003 4runner. They are the OEM (without LED) and the port install (with LED). I tried the instructions for holding the lock button, no avail. Losssssssssssssssssssssst
Thx Though

Now if someone could figure out how to stop the darn double beep and then quadruple beep on my 03 Tacoma i could unlock my doors happily and not have everyone look at you like you're an idiot that can't unlock his own doors without doing it twice.

It's a tough looking Truck, and the beeps make it sound too whimpy! I've got an alarm from my previous Cherokee that I'm going to put on it just to stop the stupid beeps!!
