2003 4Runner DRL turn off

yes they are options and no we havent been able to turn them off.
One of my neighbors is a the chief machanic at the toyota were i purchased my 4 runnner. Next time i see him im gonna ask him if he can find out. Till then we will see.

I doubt it is computer controlled, I could be wrong. This is what I notice. When the headlights are on, they are off. My guess is that if you could turn them off you would have to trick your flasher into thinking that the head lights were on. There has to be a relay that tells the flasher to flash on-off when the head lights are on as opposed to off-on when the DRLs are on.
This can not be that complicated.

I'm thinking about sleeping w/ the customer service rep @ my dealership to get the info. Seriously. She's kinda cute. I know her too.
impulsebrklyn is right.. He sent me the diagrams and I had a guy look them over.
I am telling you that it is a computer controlled option. It has to be. I'm going to fight it out with the dealership a bit more (they wanted $75... if I can get it down to $40, I'll do it) and let you guys know.
