2002 4Runner SR5 4WD Door Lock Switches Not Working...

Evenin' y'all,

I purchased an '02 4Runner SR5 4WD two weeks ago. She is nearly cherry for her vintage but there is one issue (well technically two issues because it's on both sides), the door lock switches aren't working. They both won't lock or unlock when you press (rocker switch) either of them. Based on the fuse labeling, there are other features being protected by the fuse these door locks are connected to so that rules out the fuses, correct? Thankfully, you can still lock and unlock the vehicle via the key cylinders or key fobs. I just want to get this figured out so she's all good. Thanks ahead of time and I hope y'all have a Happy New 2019.

Have you pulled the switch panel to see if the wiring is still connected on the back side?
Not sure about 3rd gens but on my 2nd gen if you lightly pry towards the front of the panel is will pop out if you slowly lift from the front.

Whats up dropzone,

Yes'r, that's the first thing I checked. Both switches are connected via the harness connectors which also contain the other features (drivers side: power windows, power mirrors, window lock & passenger side: power window). It would be odd to have both switches fail, wouldn't it? I mean, the vehicle is 16 years old, so maybe? Is there a relay both door lock switches tie into? It wouldn't be the actuators either because I'm still able to lock and unlock the door using the key cylinders, please correct me if I'm wrong with that reasoning.

Is this a component of an Toyota OEM anti-theft system or an aftermarket anti-theft component?

Looks aftermarket to me. Obviously not flush with the dash panel. I'd be amazed if it was oem.

So I went to the local yard and pulled some switch assemblies. The power door locks wouldn't work with those either. So it's gotta be a wiring issue... Mannn. I suck at electrical stuff.
