2001 headlight problem
Ever since I had the accident and the damage repaired, the right headlight doesn't stay aimed correctly. When you look at the back of the headlamp assembly, the white retainer nut that attaches the lens assy to the bracket keeps popping out, allowing the lens to pivot down, aiming it at the ground. When I push it back in, it seems to snap into place and stay there, only to come loose again later.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it permanently so the lens stays aimed? I know I should take it back to the shop where I had it repaired but I don't have time since we're the middle of a move and my wife won't deal with it. I'm thinking some sort of glue or epoxy but all suggestions are welcome.

Pop the clip in and JB Weld it in place.
How long has it been since your accident? I would call the body shop and insurance co. and inform them of the problem and your inability to bring it in for repairs. Then you should be able to drop it off w/ them once things settle down a little.

Its been a year since the accident and repairs, but USAA has a lifetime warranty on the repairs. I might wait until we get moved and take it to a shop in Denver.

if you have USAA, then I wouldn't worry. give them a call and explain the situation. i would bet they have no problem fixing the situation. However, if you have the time, take care of it before you move. I might never get done if you wait.
Congrats again on the move maybe the wife and I will be out there in a few years.
