2000 Toyota 4runner SR5 bumper end problems
I have looked through the forums and hoping someone can answer my question.
2000 Toyota 4runner
V6
SR5
I had some rust on my rear Driver Side bumper end. So I wanted to replace it with a new one.
The problem that I have is that the SR5 model bumper end that I purchased as OEM has holes in it that the trim does not cover. My bumper end actually looks like what they indicated is a limited model bumper end.
Do I need the limited model bumper end? The one they sent me fits just fine except for the holes that the trim does not cover.
Here are some pictures of the passenger side bumper end.

I have a 2000 Limited but I am not quite sure what holes you are talking about. Are the holes near the trailer hitch or near the mudflaps? Where did you purchse the bumpre from? If you bought it at a dealership, they could have made a mistake and given you a LIMITED bumper. Also, ask them if you can look at the part on the computer. I know when they look up a part, they go through some sort of a parts list and diagram and hopefully you can see the schematic of the part so that you know you are getting the right part. I had to do this with replacing my fuel filter, the dealer told me that my rig didn't have one so I had to show them on their computer where it was located and what not.

2000 Toyota SR5 bumper end
The holes are where the mud flaps are. I purchased the bumper end on ebay which is most likely my first problem, however, I am trying to get the right part now. I emailed them with 4runner specs to ensure I would get the right part, but still got the wrong part
The first pick is of my bumper end - notice that their are no holes in the left side of the bumper end.
The second pick is of the one that the company sent me as OEM for a Toyota SR5 and it has holes in which the trim covers. The limited bumper end looks exactly like mine, because it does not have the holes as in the second picture.
I looked at my old part and it does not have any number, if it did they were rusted out - same for my bumper.
Any ideas where I can get the part numbers for my original bumper ends?

Ahhh.. I see what you are talking about. Will you be able to return the part you ordered off eBay??? I checked my bumper ends and I only have one of the (2) holes that you have circled. You can try calling your closest dealer. OR you can go on this website to see if you can grab the part number:

Of course, search under body parts see what you come up with.
