2000 4Runner, significant lean after installing shocks and springs!
#22
85 GT, the bushings are Poly. After driving the 4runner for about a week i'm starting to think that it's not the suspension i'm feeling so much as the tires and maybe the steering bushings?? it's all over the road and still floaty feeling. it seems like the suspension is probably working as well as it can riding on those mushy michelins (m/s2's) so it just feels weird.

just had it re aligned at a different shop, they took the caster up to 2.9 on both sides and fine tuned the rest. What a difference!! no more wander, or herky jerky handling, even the suspension and the tires feel better, more attached to the road. make sure your alignment is correct! still going to put BFG AT KO's on though.

same problem here (98 4r limited)new shocks and springs in all corners and now is leaning to the right (pass side) the difference in front and rear is 1 inch,if i lift the front pass side i can achieve the same measurement in al corners,so this mean the problem is in the front pass side, maybe??? double checked everything before and after installation and its ok the only parts im in doubts are the sway bar links ,do those links make any difference in height if one it tighter than another?

well finally i found the reason why my 98 4runner was leaning to the pass side (exactly 1 inch).the reason was that the PO installed a rear swaybar link in the front pass side,so that 1 inch less in the pass side was compressing the lower a arm 1 inch, the front links are nearly 7 inches from top to middle joint, rear ones are 6 inches, well anyway problem solved if anyone tell you that swaybar links doesnt affect the height show him this post and tell him he is WRONG.
