ooops yes it is typo 211859 miles (down with volvo any how) on another note my grandfather's toyota truck had 489k+(orginal untouched miles) when he gave to my cousin about 4 years ago. I guess he still has it last I heard he was still using ot as a DD to college!

My 1992 pick-up 22r-e had 280,000+ when the odometer stopped working and I know we (my mom likes driving it better than her 1997 4runner) have put at least another 30,000+ on it sense, so I’d say it has around 310,000-320,000 on it. I’ve owned it sense it was brand new.
My 1995 3.slow has 230,000+.
My grandfather had an 80 something pick-up with over 500,000 miles on it. I have a picture somewhere I’ll have to find it and scan it into my computer.
I have a friend with a corolla that has 600,000+ miles. He rags on me about not being in the 500,000 mile club yet LOL.
Let’s hear it from the guys that are in the 500,000 mile club.

It would be even more intresting if you guys would list what you had to do to keep it running that long including engine work and what kind of oil and filter used , how offten you changed it and so on.
Talked to two guys the other day and they are oil well tenders here in WV. They both have 89 tacomas with 4 bangers and stick shift. One has over 340,000 and the other has 385,000. Both have the original engine and they have never been rebuilt. They used nothing but Pennsoil. There boss just told them that they are both getting 05 Tacos with the entended cabs and deluxe package all the way around. They are really excited about that but they plan to keep the old one's for there own use,Lol.

The 3.0 may be slow but they dont die, head gasket aside, besides toyota usually puts ya ahead anyway. I only got 125,000 on my virgin 3.0. orig. head gasket

oil every 3000 and I use havoline highmilage 10w40 in the winter and 20w40 in the summer. I used to use those POS fram filters then I pulled my head out of the sand and started using purolator pure one filters. Timing belts every 70,000, water pump at 150,000 and again at 200,000, spark plugs at 70,000, timing belt idlers at 200,000, and now a valve shimming job at 258,000, and of course brake jobs, tires, etc....
oh yeah and a rebuilt rear end - evidentally you actually need this thing called "80w90 gear oil" in the back differential!! :cry: My stupidity not toyota's....

237,000 miles on my 1990 4 runner V-6
New engine 20,000 miles ago due to blown head gasket deal. I elected to
replace the engine rather than deal with head issues on a high mileage engine.
oil changes at 3000 mile mark using Fram filters and Castroil 10w40
new engine came with 3 year warranty and new timing belt, idler pulley and water pump. I hope that I am good to go for years to come.
Oh - I do off-road this thing as often as possible - still my daily driver
75 miles per day. No chance of trading this truck - it's paid for a long time ago and does more for me than I ever expected of it ! It is also awesome
