No doubt the '98 was a good purchase, you can't beat the '95-'98 yota for the money.

I just turned 253,500 on my '96 limited. Changed the oil 2,700 miles ago and it still looks clean, and hasn't lost a drop. Took a 2,500 mile camping trip, and it ran like a (good) clock. Can't be happier with my T4R at 253,500. I have done my share of work on it to keep it young. Gave it some new tires at the end of the trip. I will knock on wood now, but this truck is awesome, and I love it.

So my 2001 taco just joined the 200k club. I seriously love this truck more and more as time passes, i bought it two years ago all stock with 160k on the clock. I beat the truck from time to time off road or doing clutch drops and a lil street racing and it has not let me down once!! It now has 200k and its sitting 2.5 inch taller thanks to the front bilstiens and im running 285 bfg all terrains it looks and handles great!

The motor still runs perfect as far as i can tell, although the tires dropped my mpg to around 17-18 mpg and i lost a little power. The 5 speed trans and transfer case havent given me any gripes and everything else in the truck is still kicking great! Im really happy with this thing! Just wish i had a supercharger though

It's called the milkshake mod because its designed to prevent your stock trans cooler in the radiator from rotting out and mixing fluids with the coolant system. Should this happen, it would look like a melted strawberry milkshake when you drain the trans. I suppose it should be called the anti milkshake mod as I have the radiator separated and not inline as the instructions call for.
