long story short. the PO had the same problem a few years ago.. misfire cylinder 3. so they got him a new coil, and plugs, and wires. couple days ago i got the same problem so i figured i would get a new coil first. got the new coil and discovered the coil that toyota had replaced has a differnt part number.. what you guys think?

The 90919-02212 is your part number, and in this case, they're both the same.

Besides the CEL/misfire code how is it running? Any hesitation? Did you pull the coil/boot on 3? Any oil residue on the boot or plug?
