i have a dynomax muffler on mine. before my headers, it wasnt too loud at all, and it had a nice rumble. i had a flowmaster 40 series on there before and didnt like it, the sound was too tinny (sp?)

I am using the Vortex muffler I had welded into my OEM system at Meineke. Nice throaty growl at low revs, not too loud on the highway.

I have the Flowmaster Delta Flow 40 series on my '03 Tacoma w/2.7 liter motor.

Honestly, I would say I have noticed a decrease on the low end. As far as sound , it sounds tough at idle on up to 2000 rpm. From there through 2300, it is extremely loud, but gets quiet from there on. I will be switching to the 60 Series as soon as the funds will allow.

Good luck.

I called up gibson performance. If they got any exhaust system for a 984runner 2.7l and they said no. Only tacomas.. Man it sucks to have a 2.7 4runner =(

I gotta Magnaflow 14" Installed sounds awesome. Nice deep throaty sound only when gased otherwise it was pretty quiet not ricey. It gave me a boost i can feel it. Got it installed for $90 in Mikes Muffler Shop in El Monte, CA I post up a sound clip but i got no sound recorder machine.

I was dissapointed with my 14"? oval magnaflow. I payed 125 bucks(plus the muffler) to have it put on with a new tailpipe made and a tip and it sounded almost exactly the same. So just last night I took a hacksaw and whacked off the tailpipe all the way to the muffler. Sounds better I guess. Its louder still not the hype everyone was giving it. maybe im just used to v-8's.
