18" Magnaflow installed

Woohoo!

I got my Magnaflow muffler installed today!
Man is it ever so sweet! I'll see if I can get pics up later today but driving down the road was awesome! The exhaust sounds much better at start up and the drone just about disappears on cruising speeds - exactly what I wanted.

Of course my truck will "speak up" at acceleration

Looking forward to gaining the little bit of HP and fuel economy too

Yup, it's in the Tacoma - the runner already had a flowmaster in it.
I've been meaning to do this for quite a while now and I figured since I reinstalled my PIAAs and put on the lift, I might as well keep the ball rolling and finally get the darn thing installed!

I got the 24" Magnaflow. It has a really nice tone and isn't too loud. I'm sure the 18" is louder, so I'm glad I got the bigger muffler.

Mummer, do you remember? This is the muffler you bought, did all your Yotatech research, and ended up selling me last year

So far I'm REALLY digging this thing. Hardly noticeable on the freeway - almost invisible with the mud tires.

Sweet, I think that is what I am going to get in the future - with my custom 2.5" piping.

Holy crap, you're right! I totally forgot about that. So you just put it on recently? I'm glad you like it.

Yeah, been sitting in my garage collecting dust. Didn't know what the fate of my truck was going to be until just last month so here we are... some of the more hardcore (very hard to remove -> irreversible) mods are going on.

Here's the only pic I could take, it's just terrible but better than nothing:

Thanks! I'm not too keen on that new-muffler-burning-smell but what's a few days?

I don't know, the glasspack sounds pretty good. I am just wondering if I am restraining the performance of my rig a little bit by running a "cheap" exhaust.

That would be the only reason for the change.

BTW, the burning smell will wear off!

Short of physically testing it out, is there any other way to tell?

Yeah, just alarmed me when I first smelled it. Thought it was like that one episode of Seinfeld where the valet tainted every car he got in?

Glad you like your exhaust. Got an 18" one myself. Had another brand 14" muffler but it was too loud and droned. This one is perfect. Oh and that smell will go away after a while but since its there why not try driving in front of a few convertibles in the mean time

I have the 14" on mine and it's way too loud. I ordered the 24" a while ago and I'm still waiting for it to get here

I think the 18" is the perfect size for me. Deep tone when I want it and it disappears when I don't want it

Whats the part number on the 18" maganaflow you used, is it 2.5" in and out? I'm thinking about re-doing my exhaust because I dont like the way I had em do it when I bought the truck, and was gonna go magnaflow this time.
