15" wheels on a 2000 4Runner SR5 ???

Got a chance to get some cheap 33s on 15" wheels. I currently have 16" wheels. Would the 15's work or would they be too small for the brakes?

Thanks guys!

If your truck came with 15s from the factory they will fit (check the door if you want to double check) but if it came with 16s I'm almost positive that they will not fit. I know the LTDs came standard with the bigger brakes but it was an option for SR5s.

If it was me I would see if they would let me "try one on".

Thanks for the idea Turboale! I just ran outside and checked on the door and it says that it came with P225/75R15's. (I bought it with 265/70R16's)

So from that...then the tires should fit!!

...YES?

Someone once reported here that the stickers can be wrong. Granted I think tha was in reference to the gearing. I would try fitting one of the new wheels on the front.

DO NOT GO BY THE INFO ON THE STICKERS! The stickers are sometimes wrong. This was true in my case. My sticker said 15's, but mine came with 16's, which included the bigger brakes. I doubt that 15's will fit.
