15"s instead of 16's
I have a friend that recently purchased some 15's from a 00 tacoma and wanted to install them on his 96 4runnrer. The problem is the 4runner came with 16"s from the factory. He just called and told me they wont fit on the front but will on the rear. Could anyone tell me why and is there something I could do to make them fit.

Someone on another site was saying that I could grind some off the top of the rotor and a little alone the round shield next to the rotor and it should clear. Has anyone else heard about this?

If anything you would grind the CALIPER, not the rotor, but the fluid passages areVERY near the surface in the Runner calipers, and you cannot remove enough material to clear the wheels, and still maintain pressure integrity inside the caliper. Complete crap idea.
Stick with the 16" wheels.
