Woody,
I like the rear fog running lamps. I'm not sure but I think in this country you're only allowed to run one of these lamps and it has to be on the left side. Also, it is against the law to have them on except in foggy or low visibility weather conditions.
Jaguar, as well as other British cars used these many years ago... I think Jaguar still imports some models with them. Hella makes them as add-ons and I still think they are a good idea.
I love the garage (?) doors you were shining the headlights on.

So your fogs remain on with the high beams, something I'd like to mod on my truck. Also interesting to see the low beams flare up and left for driving on the wrong side of the road! Is your truck RHD, too? Thanks for the photos, looks like a Close Encounter!

A friend had a MB 500SL a few years (like 10) that had two rear fog lights.
Personally I think they are an outstanding idea.
Quit posting pic's or your Surf, your making me jelous. BTW, I like to doors also.

What I was going to do on another vehicle is to get one red halogen lamp for the left side and one clear for the right and moount them under the hitch and on two separate switches. This way I would have a brighter backup lamp too, or maybe aim it up a tad so that when someone is drafting in my wake, I can WAKE them up by flipping it in their face. I may try this mod sometime but I have other projects to play with first.

[QUOTE]That is great Woody. You can bring it to the states and get a job working for the USPS doing rural deliveries.
Peter,
That actually sounds pretty good

I've already seen that one and Hey ! I live in FL we have a beach too.
I still like that color, I think it's actually available here, but I have not seen one.
If you get a chance, will you post a pic of the rear (badges) ? You may have already, but I dunno where it is.
ie: those rear fog lights. On the American model, that would be a good place to mount some rear lights if you could find someone to fit them in there.

JGage,
Sorry, I didn't have a lot of time when I posted that other pic. Here is a better one of the rear badges:
And here is the leather interior:
I also really like the color Peter. I'm sending you a PM now as well.
